Because it is snowing.
It is December. Finals are over. I am away from my crazy roommate. Nobody is home. And I am watching the snow fall.
Sigh. Peace.
I have been watching sappy romantic movie clips all day on youtube. And the one that will never get old is Love Actually. That movie gives me such a ooey, gooey feeling that I normally would repress.

The Future of America.
While I have been holed up in the library all day/stimulating my senses to early heart disease whilst studying for finals I decided to take a little break. Upon walking outside I saw the one thing that I hate about this campus: the abundance of ugg boots. Yeah, yeah I understand, they are warm, comfy, durable blah blah blahdidly blah.
However.
It irritates me to no end when I see a girl wearing a mini skirt and ugg boots without any stockings, tights, etc. Not only that, but she is bundled up to no end everywhere else...winter jacket, ear muffs, gloves. But her legs are still bare!!!

So to all you Ugg-wearing aficionados,
It is winter. It is 30-40 degrees outside. As my father would say, it is not fashionable to be cold. Or unintelligent looking.

get to know bee!
What TV game show or reality show would you like to be on? Gossip Girl, I am pretty sure I could get Ed Westwick to fall in love with me. I would even go for Chase Crawford.
What was the first movie you bought in VHS and DVD? I have no idea. I hardly ever buy movies. I LOVE them (heck, it's part of my major) but I would rather rent.
What is your favorite scent? Banana Republic's Classic. It's definitely a unisex perfume but I have worn it since middle school. Probably time to update.
If you had one million dollars to spend only on yourself , what would you spend it on? A new macbook and a pad in NYC.
What is the one place you've visited, can't forget, and want to go back to? Back in high school I went on a cruise and subsequently met the love of my life at the time. He was cute in an indie kind of way and artsy and we hit it off so well. I just wish I could go back in time. Sad to say but it is true you never forget your first love.
Do you trust easily? I think I do until people around me deter that. Or until I find my clothes on my roommates floor, sloppy biatch.
Do you generally think before you act, or act before you think? Definitely act before I think. I am an ADD freak. I am a big say-things-before-i-think girl.
Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days? Guy issues. Typical. The male race is annoying. As soon as I'm happy with someone and the world knows it all of my ex-boyfriends start talking to me again. Whyy ohh whyy. Oh, and my roommate is a irresponsible a-hole and I can't wait till June when I move! Wee!
Do you have a good body image? Absolutely not. I know I should but I just don't have body confidence.
What is your favorite fruit? Hrmm...strawberry daiquiris? tequila sunrise? do those count?
Which Web sites do you visit daily? Lots of blogs, gmail, facebook, and recently juicy campus (but don't tell anyone about that)
What have you been seriously addicted to lately? Running. I am doing a half-marathon in March. I have never been a runner but then I started, and wow, it's addicting. Gotta love that natural high. I also can't get enough of blogger!
What's the last song that got stuck in your head? Jackson 5- The Love You Save. It's soo catchy!
What is your favorite thing to wear? Skinny jeans, chucks, oversized sweater.
Do you think Rice Krispies treats are yummy? They are kind of bland, I like my sweets with lots of chocolate involved.
What would you do if you saw $100 lying on the ground? I'd take that shiz and stick it in my pocket and probably blow it that day on a new dressie and alchy.

so it's late but my mind is jumbled and I can never fall asleep like that.
i had this boyfriend during the summer, we'll call him philly. philly and i's relationship was kind of weird. He was a year younger than i was but throughout high school i had a massive crush on him so when he expressed interest in me i was sold. we went to a music festival together during the summer and shortly after that started hanging out a lot. we mostly were together around other people, but occasionally by ourselves, we didn't get much alone time. it was a short-lived relationship; he goes to school way far south and i am in virginia. we would have gone longer not seeing each other than the time we had spent together, so we ended it. well during this thanksgiving break philly and my cousin had a heart-to-heart about me.
from what i gather it went something like this:

well, i didn't see that one coming. indie boy and i are another story to get into some other day. but philly, wow. i got that pang of "what if i had stayed with him" feeling. not good.
THEN tonight i was waiting freakin all night for indie boy to call me. finally at 12:45 am my phone starts ranging and oh it's philly. k great. is that a sign? should i be paying attention to this???
oh whatever, screw it.

Met the love of my life today. We shall call him runner dreamboat.
This is the boy that my mother has wanted me to meet for the past..oh..forever. Her and our neighbor have been scheming ways to join our families and, lucky me, I was to be the way. While I usually mind this kind of shenanigans, runner dreamboat is freakin hot. REALLY hot. I was around him for all over 20 minutes and I am already pining away for him. And probably will never see him again as he is currently in Oklahoma for grad school and then off to fulfill ROTC things. Thus, I will be resorted to facebook stalking. Glorious.
